Position Summary

The IT Desktop Support Engineer/Systems Administrator is a mid-level role to assist the IT Manager and technical team with systems support, administration, deployment, and maintenance within our rapidly expanding Heath locations in Sausalito and San Francisco. Must have excellent problem solving skills, proven ability to take ownership of the work assigned, and deliver timely results reliably and correctly with an emphasis on attention to detail. Candidate must be able to think critically when dealing with all system admin/desktop related issues. The candidate will assist the IT team in guiding our day-to-day company technology needs and help deploy, manage, and maintain tech infrastructure such as Point of Sale, desktop/mobile computing platforms, data storage platforms, messaging and collaboration, Active Directory / Windows Servers, ERP application and terminal services, and data networks. The candidate will be involved in securing infrastructure, and providing system high availability and performance across the company. This role handles general IT desktop requests as well as participates in infrastructure and application deployment and upgrade projects. This is a full time position, reporting to the IT Manager.

Primary Tasks

_ Provide onsite and remote support for all Heath IT systems, monitor IT infrastructure at remote locations by leveraging remote management software and internal tools

_ Report and resolve issues as they arise, and escalate as necessary

_ Work with vendors under IT Manager supervision to procure and install/integrate services such as ISP, voice/data service, mobile service and POS equipment repair

_ Configure, maintain, audit authentication systems

_ Monitor health of internal disaster recovery systems and adjust / resolve as necessary

_ Work directly with vendors and consultants for equipment repair/replacement

_ Maintain other relevant computer peripheral devices

_ Manage/create systems to automate desktop and corporate server deployments and updates

_ Administer key access system at multiple locations

_ Add detailed support instructions and IT documentation to the company Intranet

_ Role is required to travel to satellite locations as needed

Qualifications

_ BS/BA in a technical discipline. In lieu of a degree, 4+ years of relevant experience in an IT-related field.

_ Past responsibilities have included several of the following areas; system administration, network engineering, domain services and back office/infrastructure application support, Win/Mac system deployment

_ Operating Systems: Windows Server, Windows 10, macOS, Chrome OS, iOS, Android

_ Working knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, RAID

_ Windows system maintenance activities, automated and manual

_ Strong understanding of networking principles, firewall and router principles

_ Strong experience in system monitoring in order to resolve conflicts, security breaches, and potential outages

_ Extensive knowledge of viruses, trojans and other server/client vulnerabilities, develop and deploy protection measures, and push out system-wide patches in a reliable and timely manner

_ Experience with Windows system and service administration: SAP B1, Active Directory, Windows Domains, IIS, SQL Server

_ Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools like dig, traceroute, wireshark, tcpdump, nmap

_ Experience leading training sessions both one on one and group

_ Understanding of network security, internally maintained firewalls, security best practices

_ Helpful to have experience working with Ecommerce and ERP platforms

_ Point of Sale System experience with integrated TSYS/Cayan terminals, iVend, Shopify, Square a plus

_ Remote management and monitoring with Solarwinds a plus

_ Experience in Zendesk, Jira a plus

_ Basic SQL Server administration a plus

_Experience with Windows/Mac admin best-practices and the following:

_PowerEdge Servers/VMware

_VPN configuration and administration

_POS network segmentation

_Windows Server administration

_Active Directory administration

_G Suite Enterprise administration

_Firewall and endpoint security and administration

_Ubiquiti WiFi configuration and administration

Additional Skills

_ Excellent customer service skills to assist all Heath employees to help overcome technical challenges

_ Able to perform root cause analysis. Capable of proactively recommending effective courses of action, communicate resolution, policy and procedures to the IT Manager, management and end user population

_ Ability to perform on-boarding and user training for new and seasoned employees

_ Ability to take ownership for assigned incidents and problems, and contact required resources both inside and outside the company necessary to resolve issues with minimum or no supervision
