Heath seeks an on site Web Manager in our San Francisco Mission office to help support and maintain our Shopify Plus ecommerce site. Under the supervision of the Senior Operations Manager, and in close partnership with the Creative Team – Design and Communications – the Shopify Web Manager will initially focus on working with third party developers to stabilize and clean up our newly designed site. Long term, the Web Manager will work to document and extend the site capabilities by leveraging the power of Shopify. Essentially, will be acting as Heath’s resident Shopify expert and will help guide Heath’s Shopify roadmap.
_ Support day to day operations of Heath’s eCommerce site
_ Make simple site updates in Theme/Liquid that are not reachable in CMS
_ Work with Sr. It Manager to improve health of the web platform related to infrastructure, performance, security, load
_ Provide support to internal design, content, product teams as well as 2nd level support to customer service team
_ Project manage work assigned to third party developers/agencies
_ Will help implement search engine optimization
_ Build documentation for site behavior and third party application integrations
_ Build a disciplined QA methodology for feature implementation
_ Create or Maintain site map for assets including images, text blocks, products, collections, etc.
_ Work with content, product, sales and design teams to support Heath retail vision and customer experience online
What we’re looking for:
_ Local Applicants willing to work on site
_ Full-time or contract-to-hire applicants only
_ At least 3 years web development experience
_ At least 2 years experience working with the Shopify platform.
_ Experience building, launching, and maintaining customized Shopify stores
_ Experience with Shopify’s theming system and Liquid templating language
_ Experience with Shopify’s object/properties and Metafields.
_ Experience with AJAX and REST APIs
_ Experience working with 3rd party services and APIs for Shopify
_ Experience with code deployment best practices and version control
_ Good understanding and experience with SEO/SEM
_ Experience implementing and working with Google Analytics a plus
_ Experience developing native Shopify apps a plus
_ Experience building and maintaining Wordpress sites a plus
_ Strong problem-solving abilities and comprehension of greater business objectives
_ Deep appreciation for, and understanding of good web design. You don't need to be a designer, but you should "get it."
_ Bachelors in IT or equivalent.
