Heath seeks an on site eCommerce Technical Lead in our San Francisco Mission office to help support and maintain our web presence, built on Shopify Plus. Under the supervision of the Director of Operations and Planning and in close partnership with Design, Communications, and Product teams – the eCommerce Technical Lead will manage day to day eCommerce operations, support site implementation projects and research, and contribute to the development and execution of Heath’s eCommerce Roadmap. Essentially, this role will become Heath’s resident Shopify expert and will help to stabilize, maintain and extend Heath’s ecommerce capabilities.
Manage day to day operations of Heath’s eCommerce site
_ Make simple site updates on the eCommerce platform that are not reachable in CMS
_ Serve as day-to-day owner of Heath’s Shopify Plus website platform, executing front- and back-end improvements both independently and in coordination with third-party agency
_ Keep internal stakeholders apprised of website performance, known issues and bug fixes
_ Quickly triage and resolve or escalate website performance issues, e.g. outages and bugs to closure
_ Provide support to internal teams (such as customer service, design, content, and product team) tasked with administering our suite of eCommerce applications including Shopify, Third Party Products and Custom Developed Applications
_ Provide Level II customer support, resolve issues escalated by Customer Service team
_ Build documentation for site behavior and third party application integrations
_ Create or maintain site map for assets including images, text blocks, products, collections, etc.
_ Become in-house Shopify expert
Support Website Projects and Development
_ Build and execute test plans and disciplined QA methodology for feature implementation
_ Project manage third party developer work including
_ Provide expertise and support around future projects such as
_ Work with IT team to improve health of the web platform related to infrastructure, performance, security, and load
Contribute to Heath’s eCommerce roadmap development and execution
_ Work with cross functional teams to understand business requirements and identify areas to extend site functionality
_ Research Shopify and Third party applications to understand capabilities and options to implement new functionality
_ Proactively look for opportunities to improve the heathceramics.com shopping journey, with the objective of continuously improving site conversion rates and repeat visits.

_ Strong desire to gain expertise in Shopify eCommerce administration, Liquid (Shopify’s code language), and related applications
_ Strong problem-solving abilities and comprehension of greater business objectives
_Inquisitive and in constant pursuit of innovative ways to drive results
_ Deep appreciation for, and understanding of good web design and eCommerce best practices. You don't need to be a designer, but you should "get it"
_ High sense of urgency and initiative
_ Experience running operations in an eCommerce environment, including executing strategy
_ Proven ability to be a self-starter with ability to initiate action and follow an effort through to completion.
_ Ability to flex leadership and communication style to accommodate a variety of team member styles
_ Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
_ At least 3 years technical project management or web development experience
_ At least 2 years experience working with the Shopify platform
_ Experience working with 3rd party ecommerce integrations
_ Good understanding and experience with SEO/SEM

_ Experience implementing and working with Google Analytics
_ Experience developing native Shopify apps
_ Experience developing in Ruby or Liquid
_ Prior experience with a eCommerce web design firm or retail CPG eCommerce department
_ Experience with code deployment best practices and version control
