Position Summary  
Heath Ceramics is seeking a Marketing Manager to join its Creative Team. This role is a hands-on position that is equal parts thinking and doing. We seek an experienced collaborator who brings a curious spirit to their work, moves effortlessly from strategy to execution, and is deeply interested in understanding the nuance of performance.

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop a strategic marketing plan and oversee its implementation at Heath
  • Manage, update, and maintain brand-oriented opportunity pipeline, verify CRM data to ensure integrity, and maintain leads and contact lists
  • Conduct market research including competitor analysis, customer studies, and overall sales analytics
  • Proactively support the sales team to manage their customer/client relationships 
  • Assist business-specific staff to identify notable activities and milestones and opportunities for Heath team member(s) to participate in presentations, panels, and other events and then coordinate with the Creative team to generate marketing content for distribution
  • Manage and expand relationships with all media to ensure the most effective messaging and positioning for each division
  • Proficiency in direct response marketing, with a deep understanding of customer engagement and conversion tactics, and the ability to impart this knowledge to the team 
  • Owns end-to-end customer contact strategy across new, engaged, and lapsed customer segments, fundamentally transforming our approach to a data-driven, test-and-learn culture 
  • Continuously searches for new channels to engage with customers, to achieve sustainable growth 
  • Strong analytical skills to understand past performance and develop guidance and recommendations for future implementation of overall strategy
  • Collaborates with website operations to establish reporting infrastructure for campaigns 

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years experience in marketing or digital strategy 
  • An alignment to Heath’s values of sustainability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and preservation of craft
  • Exceptional attention to detail, and the capacity to develop an understanding of when to pursue perfection and when good is good enough
  • Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written English
  • Passion for process, innovation, and design
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects of different sizes and durations simultaneously
  • Takes direction openly and positively, and is very detail-oriented

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Asana, Google Suite, Figma, Shopify, Klaviyo 

Work Environment/Hours/ Compensation
This position is a full-time, exempt role, working Monday - Friday. The Heath team is distributed across California, with offices in Sausalito and San Francisco. While we welcome remote work, time together each week in person is valuable and important. This role is expected to work at least 2 days onsite in our SF and Sausalito offices.  This position pays $112,000 - $130,000, based on experience. This role reports to the Creative Operations Director.  

Only Bay Area candidates will be considered.
