A Graphic Designer at Heath is a highly creative and versatile visual communicator. They have a strong graphic background, great technical skills, and ability to build systems when needed to ensure excellent and consistent execution. They can develop and understand Heath’s visual identity strategy and deliver the best possible creative solutions in a holistic way across a wide range of applications and media: from identity work to packaging, photography, print, digital, and everything in-between.
In close partnership with the Creative Team – Design and Communications – the Graphic Designer brings to life Heath’s vision, strategy, business model, and initiatives, to be presented in a visual way internally and externally; digitally and physically. They will wear a lot of hats: The Gatekeeper of the Heath Look, the Kerning and Spacing police, and sometimes-Photographer; an inspired advocate of what we do. In a vertically integrated company with plenty of complexity, the Graphic Designer can bring clarity via a holistic visual strategy that gives our initiatives a strong presence. They are also an excellent project manager and influencer, and can create simple systems or work within existing ones, to enable a full multifunctional team effort.
This role operates under the guidance of the Creative Director and management by the Head of Design Operations. The ability to coordinate and collaborate with others at multiple staff levels and the ability to work independently when needed is extremely important. They can turn on dime, get a thrill from making something from nothing, and always find ways to add value, no matter how unconventional. This role may manage freelance designers.
