The Web Content Producer adds, edits, and rearranges the website to align with Heath’s vision, strategy, business model, and initiatives. They are responsible for merchandising product, producing and publishing content to Heath’s website and maintaining, managing, and organizing our library of image assets. This role also assists with updates and optimization efforts, including new product additions and page content edits, as well as optimizing the content production process and tackling special web projects as needed. It requires a deep understanding of Heath’s products and business, a sharp attention to detail and the drive to become deeply familiar with the ins and outs of Heath’s website.
Under the supervision of the Merchandising Manager, and in close partnership with the Creative Team – Design and Communications – the Web Content Producer brings to life Heath’s vision, strategy, business model, and initiatives, to be presented digitally. They will wear a lot of hats as the Gatekeeper of the Heath look; an inspired advocate of what we do and who we are presented digitally. In a vertically integrated company with plenty of complexity, the Web Content Producer can bring clarity via a holistic visual strategy that gives our products a strong presence on our website.
_ Produce and publish content to the website, using a system of templates, and under the direction from the Merchandising, Design, and Comms teams
_ Ensure consistency to existing standards and opportunities to create new standards
_ Merchandise all product, visually and categorically
_ Image resizing, to match existing standards, for products and supporting imagery
_ Ensure site information accuracy, through product updates, data entry, and content updates, and more
_ Maintenance of monthly/weekly site production calendar
_ Optimization of production methodologies
_ Proofing of site product and content posts
_ Execution of special web projects such as product tagging revamp or Retina image conversions
_ Creation and maintenance of Eventbrite RSVP forms
_ On-going SEO optimization efforts
_ Other administrative and production tasks as needed
What we’re looking for:
_ Experience with online merchandising, content management and production for an e-commerce site that sells physical product. Preferably home goods, preferably multi category.
_ E-commerce site maintenance experience with Shopify
_ Experience updating websites via content management systems
_ Basic front-end development (Web image optimization, HTML/CSS)
_ Strong copywriting and proofing skills
_ Knowledge of SEO best practices
_ Familiarity/comfort working on a Mac
_ Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deliverable milestones with quick turnarounds
_ Curiosity — someone who asks questions
_ Problem Solving
_ Able to move forward even if they don't feel they have all the answers, and can speak to their decision making
